At Lowcountry Academic Consulting, our Homework Hours program is designed to provide structured, consistent academic support for students at every stage of their educational journey—from elementary through college. We recognize that many students benefit from a calm, encouraging environment where they can focus on completing homework, reviewing concepts, asking questions, and building strong study habits. That’s why we’ve created Homework Hours as a dedicated time and space for students to stay on track academically, strengthen their understanding of classroom material, and grow in both confidence and independence.
Unlike drop-in programs or unsupervised after-school care, Homework Hours are not childcare. Each session is led by a qualified academic coach who provides guidance, redirection, and skill-building strategies tailored to students’ needs and grade levels. We group students by academic stage—elementary, middle, high school, or college—ensuring that instruction and support are age-appropriate and aligned with the academic expectations for that level.
Sessions are designed to be focused, productive, and purposeful. Whether a student needs help getting organized, clarification on a tricky assignment, or a quiet place with accountability to complete their work, Homework Hours provide a reliable solution. Our goal is to support students not just in finishing assignments, but in developing the tools and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Homework Hours are structured, small-group academic support sessions offered Monday–Thursday for students in elementary school through college. These sessions are designed to help students complete homework, strengthen academic skills, and build confidence in a quiet, supportive environment guided by trained academic consultants.
Homework Hours are not the same as private tutoring or group classes. They are a structured, expert-supervised study hour where students work on their assignments in a focused environment with an academic coach available for guidance, organization, questions, and accountability. Each hour is limited to 10 students, creating a quiet, supportive space - not a chaotic room or large group setting. For targeted one-on-one subject instruction, please inquire about our academic coaching sessions.
We maintain a structured small-group environment to ensure students receive the attention they need. Sessions may include up to 10 students. This allows our trained academic coaches to provide meaningful academic support, answer questions, and help each student stay focused and productive throughout the session.
Yes. All students must schedule their sessions in advance. Walk-ins are not permitted to ensure we can maintain low student-to-coach ratios and provide the best experience possible.
Students should arrive prepared with all necessary materials, including homework assignments, textbooks, laptops (if needed), and any other academic tools. If a student doesn’t have assigned work, we can provide supplemental materials for skill-building.
Yes! Many families use both services. Homework Hours are a great supplement to one-on-one academic coaching for students who need both daily homework support and focused instruction in specific subjects.
Yes—parents are always welcome and encouraged to be involved in their student’s academic journey. We value strong family engagement and believe it plays an important role in student success.
However, please note that seating is limited in our Homework Hour space. If you’d like to stay during your child’s session, we kindly ask that you let us know in advance so we can ensure there’s room available without disrupting the learning environment.
Parents are also welcome to check in briefly at drop-off or pick-up to discuss progress or ask questions. For more in-depth conversations, we’re happy to schedule a separate time to connect.

Session Rules
• Students attend only during their assigned hour based on grade level
• No early drop-off or late pick-up
• Parents or guardians are responsible for transportation
Booking and Availability
• Advance reservation required for all sessions
• Memberships do not guarantee a seat without booking
• Attendance depends on coach availability and space
• Contact us before purchasing to confirm availability for your preferred days
Closures
• No sessions on major holidays, inclement weather days, or school or college closure days
• A public Homework Hours calendar lists all known closures
• Local school calendars are followed for scheduling convenience only
Behavior Expectations
• Students must arrive ready to work and remain focused
• Respectful behavior toward coaches, peers, and the learning space is required
• Not social or recreational time
• Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal or dismissal

• No refunds or credits for missed sessions or dismissals
• Personal belongings are the student’s responsibility
• Academic outcomes are not guaranteed
Participation in Homework Hours is subject to the terms of the Homework Hours Participation Agreement (Appendix F), which is reviewed and signed during enrollment.

Monthly Memberships auto-renew each month on the original purchase date until canceled by the customer.
Memberships provide access to a maximum number of Homework Hour sessions per billing cycle:
- 8 sessions for Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday memberships
- 16 sessions for Unlimited (Monday–Thursday) memberships
Memberships are billed at a flat monthly rate. Pricing remains the same each month regardless of holidays, school breaks, teacher work days, or other scheduled closures.
Unused sessions do not roll over and will be forfeited at the start of the next billing cycle.
Memberships may be paused upon request but cannot be applied retroactively to past Homework Hour sessions.
Purchasing a membership does not guarantee the availability of a specific academic coach. Memberships grant access to Homework Hours within the selected schedule and are subject to capacity limits.
Once a membership is purchased, clients must contact Lowcountry Academic Consulting to reserve recurring Homework Hour days. Session availability may vary and is subject to scheduling changes, capacity limits, school holidays, and other closures. We strongly recommend booking in advance to secure preferred days.
Lowcountry Academic Consulting is not responsible for missed booking opportunities due to scheduling limitations, capacity restrictions, or calendar closures.
All membership sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
